INCENDIARY GRIME PUNK BAND RISKEE & THE RIDICULE RETURN WITH A NEW ALBUM DUE IN 2023 AND AN IMMINENT EU TOUR. FIRST SINGLE 'MYNAME' OUT 5TH APRIL

Incendiary grime punk band Riskee & The Ridicule return with a new album due in 2023 and an imminent EU tour. The first taste of this is their caustic and brutal new single ‘My Name’ out 5th April 2023.

‘My Name’ is an unashamedly proud celebration of the band's status at the top of Britain’s thriving underground music scene. The lead single, taken from their forthcoming album ‘Platinum Statue’, released on August 25th is a sign of what's to come on the new record. Both the single and the full album were produced, mixed and mastered by Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios.

Frontman Scott Picking says "The song is two fingers up to backstabbers, self-righteous keyboard warriors and watered down punks. It's meant to punch you in the face if you need it, but it’s also a celebration of what the underground has done for music and what it’s capable of doing." ‘My Name’ is an anthem dug from the dirt of the underground by the hands of working class lads who don’t hold back their words for anyone, something that's carried throughout Platinum Statue. Expanding on their punk, grime and hardcore sounds, each member threads their wide range of influences like never before into a genre-defining release, capturing lightning in a bottle."

Described as “a bombshell of challenging themes” (Kerrang!) and “a focused assault that hits you in the heart like a hammer” (Mass Movement), Riskee & The Ridicule have also received critical acclaim by Clash, Vive Le Rock Magazine and Original Rock.

Set to begin their EU tour on 7th April, Riskee & The Ridicule will be headlining venues such as; Pitcher (Dusselsorf), The Green Door Store (Brighton) and Firebug (Leicester). The tour also includes festival appearances at Right To Roam and The Alt Escape. See all upcoming tour dates HERE.

My Name’ out 5th April 2023.
