As a post-punk band from Belfast, Middler are no strangers to the contrasting emotions of being a part of the tribe and being left outside in the cold. Channelling inspiration from the underbelly of anthemic post-punk coming out of the city thanks to bands like Enola Gay and Chalk; Ross Machala on bass, Jonny Mccune onvocals, David Reavey on guitar, and Gabriel Maria on drums have been playing together since August 2022, adding yet another layer to a historic scene with a bright future.
Middler’s debut single, ‘Home Port’, is the band at their most poetic and chaotic, and is a story inspired by events that unfolded just prior to the lockdown.
