LIVERPOOL ALTERNATIVE ROCK TRIO MEXICAN DOGS RETURN WITH LATEST SINGLE 'HOLD ON'

Quickly establishing themselves as one of Liverpool and the UK’s imminent rising forces with the release of their lauded self-titled debut EP in May of last year, alternative rock trio Mexican Dogs continue to build upon their burgeoning reputation with the release of the stellar new single ‘Hold On’.

As the band start to turn their attention towards their highly awaited debut LP, the track builds upon their sound and takes it to rousing new heights, packed full of stadium-sized energy and swagger that feels raucous as it does melodic. Thumping drums and melodic guitars set the scene immaculately for the powerhouse of a track, providing the perfect foundation for frontman Gaz Wilcox’s thoughtful, introspective lyrics and typically captivating vocal performance.

The all-encompassing, soaring nature of the soundscape and Steve Dinwoodie’s polished production makes for a sound that feels both timeless and revitalisingly modern, creating an accessible and arena-ready appeal while holding on to what makes the band feel so fierce and exciting.

The thunderous nature of their sound has already seen the band garner support from 6 Music, Radio X, Planet Rock and Absolute, with key playlisting on Apple Music’s New In Rock UK and YouTube Music’s New Rock, setting the foundation for what looks to be a limitless ascent for the hungry trio.

Compound all of these factors with an incendiary live show that has allowed the band to grace venues such as Liverpool’s O2 Academy and London’s 100 Club, as well as performances at Kendall Calling, Cornwall’s Little Orchard Festival and The Gathering Sounds, and the band’s popularity looks set to snowball as they embark on this an exciting new era.

The sky looks to be the limit for Mexican Dogs as they continue to expand upon and develop their distinctive and wildly exciting sound. Their sheer energy and infectious presence alone are enough to make the band feel exhilarating and fresh, but it is the nuance and artistry that goes into their work that truly sets them apart as one of the regions premiere shining lights.
