FIZZY ORANGE RELEASE TIMELESS NEW SINGLE 'CHOO CHOO'

Six-piece alternative rock outfit Fizzy Orange have announced a playful new single entitled ‘CHOO CHOO’ the final teaser of their forthcoming debut EP ‘Fizzy Orange in Mono’, set for release on March 29th. Bringing an upbeat vintage energy to the track from the get-go, the band conjure a vibrant and nostalgic atmosphere, blending musical eras for a sonic tapestry that pays homage to the past whilst indisputably forging a unique path forward.

Lively drumming filled with propelling rhythms and timeless keyboard and electric guitar harmonies drives the track forward, whilst harmony-rich vocals create carefree and whimsical energy. It’s bright, it’s infectious and it’s charming.

Fizzy Orange provide an insight into the track, "We first played this tune during a writing session in an attic in co. Leitrim last year. Kev (lead singer) had penned the lyrics about the experience of using our local train service in Dublin. The Dublin-Area-Rapid-Transit or the DART as it's better known. Always late, northbound or southbound, we all got his experience straight away.

It was originally played as a fairly stripped-back blues. But once that distorted repetitive guitar riff came in from Jack (lead guitar) we knew this track had to come up to that energy. We recorded it a few days later in Sonic Studios back in Dublin. It's our heaviest playing so far, the bass and drums could have filled out the track by themselves! Complemented with classic boogie-woogie piano playing and 60’s vocal harmonies, our own style and sound really starts to creep in.”

Boasting a signature sound consisting of an analogue amalgamation of 60s songwriting, 70s studio techniques and the 80s home recording revolution, Fizzy Orange have been breathing fresh air into the indie up-and-comers scene since 2020. The Dublin band have recently sold out iconic venues across the UK and Ireland, including The Sugar Club (Dublin), Whelan’s (Dublin), St. Luke’s Church (Cork), Two Palms (London) as well as festival bookings for Guinness Cork Jazz (IRE), Trinity Ball (IRE), All Together Now (IRE), Dot To Dot (UK) and Ventnor Fringe Festival (UK).

With a can-do DIY approach, Fizzy Orange have built a serious buzz with their single releases and become consistent sell-outs at home in Ireland, only set to grow in the UK. Grassroots, independent, fiercely up-and-coming, Fizzy Orange are bringing Dublin City Soul with them wherever they go!
