DREW DAVIES RELEASES CHARMING NEW SINGLE 'YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE' AND ANNOUNCES ALBUM 'HOLLOWAY NIGHTS'

Drew Davies has returned with a fresh new single entitled ‘You’re The Only One’. The track comes shortly after the announcement of his upcoming studio album ‘Holloway Nights’ (26th January 2024), and showcases more of the dark yet energised soundscapes that we’ve seen in his recent run of singles. Built on the subtle backdrop of fuzzy synth design, ethereal lead guitars and resounding acoustic counter melodies inject emotion into the instrumentation. Over the driven atmosphere comes Drew’s soaring vocal performance, crying out into the music with passion and warmth.

He shares, “If Holloway Nights were a series of diary entries on the life cycle of a relationship, then ‘You’re the Only One’ would be the first entry. I wrote the original chords late one night after a chance encounter caused a frisson in me, the words followed shortly behind...It encapsulates the warmth, rapture and uncertainty felt when we first have that romantic fire lit in us. It’s my truest work to date.”

Drew Davies is from the North York’s Moors. After spending time in London, Drew now resides in the post-industrial artistic hotbed of Glasgow. From London's Scala and Underworld to Download Festival and Brudenell Social, the artist is backed with a slew of iconic shows.

Supported by the likes of Mickey Bradley (BBC Radio Ulster), Gary Crowley (BBC London), Bruce Dickinson (BBC 6), Jericho Keys (BBC Introducing) and the late great Janice Long (BBC Wales), Drew’s music has also seen airtime on both Planet Rock and Amazing Radio.

His latest work is his most expansive, inspired by the world around him and the themes of love, loss and the human experience. Drew has created a sonic soundscape that can feel ominous like a storm rolling over a city or comforting like the warm sun caressing the back of your neck. Listen to his music, Drew Davies has something to say.

The second album from Drew Davies, ‘Holloway Nights’, will follow the new single and is set for release on January 26th.
