Ohio natives Dead Bundy blends bouncy melodies and a polished, catchy chorus in their smartly, calculated track “Rockstar.” It’s the perfect equation of everything pop-punk fans love, earning our artist spotlight.
The song feels like a vehicle for the band to ride into scene stardom. That’s the level they flirted with after releasing Not Sorry in 2021. Dead Bundy projects the perfect pop-punk ethos; playful and immature with an aura of introspectiveness. “Rockstar” has all of it.
It will be a fan favorite on Dead Bundy’s upcoming album Held Back, set for release on Friday, June 23, through InVogue Records. For a group in the verge of mainstream success, this album could push them over the top.
