CASSIA RELEASES NEW INDIE POP SINGLE 'WHATSTHEUSE'

Fresh off a UK tour with Circa Waves and a string of dates supporting Bastille, and following the release of their acclaimed single ‘High Tones’, Macclesfield-hailing three-piece Cassia now return with a more introspective, but equally summery offering, ‘whatstheuse’.

The new track is a slickly-produced offering, opening with a warbling looped piano instrumental and notably more somber vocals from frontman Rob, slowly layering into a melancholic yet bopping chorus, complete with the organic and unexpected instrument sounds that we have come to know and love from the indie-pop outfit. The track has evoked feelings of nostalgia and reflection for Cassia, and they’re diving in whole-heartedly. Previous single ‘High Tones’ saw Cassia return stronger than ever, with support from the likes of Radio 1 (x7 plays), Notion, The Independent, Clash, Ones To Watch, Earmilk and more. The single was also added to Radio X’s Xposure list and performed at TRNSMT Festival, available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

To reconnect with their origins, the band are travelling down to Cornwall where they first busked together as a band, revisiting their earliest memories of making music together and bringing their initial magic back to life. The band will be sharing their journey with fans, reminding everyone of the simple set-up and shared passion for music that was the catalyst for their subsequent success.
